KING’S

THIRD
TERM NEWSLETTER TO PARENTS
4TH
AUGUST, 2023
Protocol
We appreciate Almighty God for being
merciful and for seeing us through the third term.
We are
grateful and thankful to our esteem parent/guardians for their usual commitment
and unwavering support.
Our profound
gratitude to the Oba of Lagos His Royal Highness Oba Akiolu for his fatherly
role and the peaceful co-existence between the College and the community.
I also
appreciate the School Based Management Committee (SBMC), under the able
leadership of Engr. Jani Ibrahim, the Parent/Teachers Association (PTA) and the
Staff for their cooperation.
ACADEMIC
ACTIVITIES
We successfully carried out our mandate
of teaching and learning. Lessons were well supervised and monitored. Extra
lessons were also taught and this helped in covering the work planned and the
syllabus.
The third
term examination was successfully carried out. JAMB, WASCE and BECE were
written and NECO is ongoing. JAMB and
BECE examination results have been released and our students have performed
excellently in both examinations.
THE
TONE OF DISCIPLINE IN THE COLLEGE
The College Management does not condone
any form of indiscipline. Disciplinary issues such as bound breaking,
extortion, stealing and the likes are treated accordingly based on the Federal
Ministry of Education’s Uniform Guidelines on offences and punishment.
Please
counsel your child/ward to behave well in school
We also
advice parents/guardians to encourage their children/wards to always report cases
of ill-treatment by staff/students to the School Authority
DAY
STUDENTSHIP
Parents are advised to get acquainted
with the guidelines on Day Studentship. A copy of the guidelines is at the PTA office.
Day Students must always come to school with the approved College Uniforms. Also
ensure that your child/ward is in School on time (8:00am latest). They must
also present their payment receipt on the Monday of resumption before they will
be allowed to enter the compound.
SICK
BAY
Parents should ensure that their
children are in good health condition before bringing them back to the School. We
will not check in any sick student.
Parent
should always disclose the health issues/status of their children/wards to the
Management for effective care.
Medical
reports from Government approved Health Providers and drugs should be brought
to the School Sick Bay for safe keeping, reference and proper dispensing.
You should
counsel your child/ward to report all cases of ill-health to the sick-bay/staff
promptly. .
CO-CURRICULAR
ACTIVITIES
We encourage
our students to actively participate in both clubs and societies and sporting
activities. This is to give an all-round education to them.

NAMES ON
UNIFORM
Our boys are in the habit of carelessly abandoning their
uniforms and more often picking other student’s uniforms thereby depriving victims
of what to wear.
In order to check this ugly situation, it is now mandatory
for every student to sew or inscribe name on the pockets of his uniform. Other
personal items should equally be properly identified.

HOLIDAY
ASSIGNMENTS/HOLIDAY ENGAGEMENTS
The College Management ensures that students are kept gainfully
engaged during the holiday. You are
therefore requested to support your child to ensure that all assignments are
completed and submitted on resumption next term.
We also encourage parents/guardians to involve their
children/wards in house chores. Also endeavor to monitor their movements and
friends. Scrutinize the people and organizations to which you entrust the
affairs of your children during the holiday for security reasons.
RESUMPTION
Boarders are to resume on Sunday 17th
September, 2023 while Day students will resume on Monday 18th
September, 2023.
CONCLUSION
At this juncture, I wish to appreciate all of you again
for the wonderful support you have given me from the beginning of the session. As
usual, I want to state again that our job in helping the College grow in diverse
ways seems to be insurmountable, but with Almighty God on our side, we are sure
we will overcome. It is our prayer that your children/wards grow in strength,
knowledge and wisdom and become great assets to you and our nation.
Have a great holiday.
Thank you.
