THIRD TERM NEWSLETTER TO PARENTS

Protocol

We appreciate Almighty God for being merciful and for seeing us through the third term.

We are grateful and thankful to our esteem parent/guardians for their usual commitment and unwavering support.

Our profound gratitude to the Oba of Lagos His Royal Highness Oba Akiolu for his fatherly role and the peaceful co-existence between the College and the community.

I also appreciate the School Based Management Committee (SBMC), under the able leadership of Engr. Jani Ibrahim, the Parent/Teachers Association (PTA) and the Staff for their cooperation.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

We successfully carried out our mandate of teaching and learning. Lessons were well supervised and monitored. Extra lessons were also taught and this helped in covering the work planned and the syllabus.

The third term examination was successfully carried out. JAMB, WASCE and BECE were written and NECO is ongoing.  JAMB and BECE examination results have been released and our students have performed excellently in both examinations.

THE TONE OF DISCIPLINE IN THE COLLEGE

The College Management does not condone any form of indiscipline. Disciplinary issues such as bound breaking, extortion, stealing and the likes are treated accordingly based on the Federal Ministry of Education’s Uniform Guidelines on offences and punishment.

Please counsel your child/ward to behave well in school

We also advice parents/guardians to encourage their children/wards to always report cases of ill-treatment by staff/students to the School Authority

DAY STUDENTSHIP

Parents are advised to get acquainted with the guidelines on Day Studentship. A copy of the guidelines is at the PTA office. Day Students must always come to school with the approved College Uniforms. Also ensure that your child/ward is in School on time (8:00am latest). They must also present their payment receipt on the Monday of resumption before they will be allowed to enter the compound.

 

SICK BAY

Parents should ensure that their children are in good health condition before bringing them back to the School. We will not check in any sick student.

Parent should always disclose the health issues/status of their children/wards to the Management for effective care.

Medical reports from Government approved Health Providers and drugs should be brought to the School Sick Bay for safe keeping, reference and proper dispensing.

You should counsel your child/ward to report all cases of ill-health to the sick-bay/staff promptly. .

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

We encourage our students to actively participate in both clubs and societies and sporting activities. This is to give an all-round education to them.

SCHOOL FEES/PTA LEVIES

Payment of approved school fees/PTA levies is MANDATORY FOR ALL students. Therefore, no student (Boarders and Day) will be allowed into the compound without full payment of their fees.

All outstanding fees must also be cleared before students will be allowed into the compound (both day and boarding students).

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items are still prohibited in College.

·         Phones

·         Pressing iron

·         Tin/Caned food

·         Other processed food

·         Glass bottles

·         Body sprays or perfumes except roll on in plastic containers

·         Colour/black under-wear

All illegal items smuggled into the school will be confiscated and destroyed.

 

HOSTEL MATERIALS

·         Mattress

·         2 Check Bed sheet

·         2 white bed sheets

·         Five pair of School Uniforms (White)

·         Pillow and cover

·         Bucket

·         Drinking cup & Cutleries

·         Cover cloth

·         School Shoes

·         Sandals

·         Torch Light

·         Boys must keep their hair low and finger nails well-trimmed.

Our boys are in the habit of carelessly abandoning their uniforms and more often picking other student’s uniforms thereby depriving victims of what to wear.

In order to check this ugly situation, it is now mandatory for every student to sew or inscribe name on the pockets of his uniform. Other personal items should equally be properly identified.

We again remind parents/guardians to take full advantage of our School Portal. Information on the College activities are regularly made available on the portal. Results checker, assignments, newsletters, bill checker, progress of boys in the College and updates on College activities are available on the portal

·         : Log in with your USERNAME and PASSWORD. (it can be found on your bill)

·         : Click on PAYMENT HISTORY and select the RRR you desire to  VIEW THE RECEIPT

HOLIDAY ASSIGNMENTS/HOLIDAY ENGAGEMENTS

The College Management ensures that students are kept gainfully engaged during the holiday.  You are therefore requested to support your child to ensure that all assignments are completed and submitted on resumption next term.

We also encourage parents/guardians to involve their children/wards in house chores. Also endeavor to monitor their movements and friends. Scrutinize the people and organizations to which you entrust the affairs of your children during the holiday for security reasons.

 RESUMPTION

Boarders are to resume on Sunday 17th September, 2023 while Day students will resume on Monday 18th September, 2023.

At this juncture, I wish to appreciate all of you again for the wonderful support you have given me from the beginning of the session. As usual, I want to state again that our job in helping the College grow in diverse ways seems to be insurmountable, but with Almighty God on our side, we are sure we will overcome. We successfully carried out our mandate of teaching and learning. Lessons were well supervised and monitored. Extra lessons were also taught and this helped in covering the work planned and the syllabus.

The third term examination was successfully carried out. JAMB, WASCE and BECE were written and NECO is ongoing.  JAMB and BECE examination results have been released and our students have performed excellently in both examinations.

THE TONE OF DISCIPLINE IN THE COLLEGE

The College Management does not condone any form of indiscipline. Disciplinary issues such as bound breaking, extortion, stealing and the likes are treated accordingly based on the Federal Ministry of Education’s Uniform Guidelines on offences and punishment.

I also appreciate the School Based Management Committee (SBMC), under the able leadership of Engr. Jani Ibrahim, the Parent/Teachers Association (PTA) and the Staff for their cooperation.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

We successfully carried out our mandate of teaching and learning. Lessons were well supervised and monitored. Extra lessons were also taught and this helped in covering the work planned and the syllabus.

The third term examination was successfully carried out. JAMB, WASCE and BECE were written and NECO is ongoing.  JAMB and BECE examination results have been released and our students have performed excellently in both examinations.

THE TONE OF DISCIPLINE IN THE COLLEGE

The College Management does not condone any form of indiscipline. Disciplinary issues such as bound breaking, extortion, stealing and the likes are treated accordingly based on the Federal Ministry of Education’s Uniform Guidelines on offences and punishment.

Please counsel your child/ward to behave well in school

We also advice parents/guardians to encourage their children/wards to always report cases of ill-treatment by staff/students to the School Authority

DAY STUDENTSHIP

Parents are advised to get acquainted with the guidelines on Day Studentship. A copy of the guidelines is at the PTA office. Day Students must always come to school with the approved College Uniforms. Also ensure that your child/ward is in School on time (8:00am latest). They must also present their payment receipt on the Monday of resumption before they will be allowed to enter the compound.

 

SICK BAY

Parents should ensure that their children are in good health condition before bringing them back to the School. We will not check in any sick student.

Parent should always disclose the health issues/status of their children/wards to the Management for effective care.

Medical reports from Government approved Health Providers and drugs should be brought to the School Sick Bay for safe keeping, reference and proper dispensing.

You should counsel your child/ward to report all cases of ill-health to the sick-bay/staff promptly. .

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

We encourage our students to actively participate in both clubs and societies and sporting activities. This is to give an all-round education to them.

SCHOOL FEES/PTA LEVIES

Payment of approved school fees/PTA levies is MANDATORY FOR ALL students. Therefore, no student (Boarders and Day) will be allowed into the compound without full payment of their fees.

All outstanding fees must also be cleared before students will be allowed into the compound (both day and boarding students).

The third term examination was successfully carried out. JAMB, WASCE and BECE were written and NECO is ongoing.  JAMB and BECE examination results have been released and our students have performed excellently in both examinations.

THE TONE OF DISCIPLINE IN THE COLLEGE

The College Management does not condone any form of indiscipline. Disciplinary issues such as bound breaking, extortion, stealing and the likes are treated accordingly based on the Federal Ministry of Education’s Uniform Guidelines on offences and punishment.

Please counsel your child/ward to behave well in school

We also advice parents/guardians to encourage their children/wards to always report cases of ill-treatment by staff/students to the School Authority

HOLIDAY ASSIGNMENTS/HOLIDAY ENGAGEMENTS

The College Management ensures that students are kept gainfully engaged during the holiday.  You are therefore requested to support your child to ensure that all assignments are completed and submitted on resumption next term.

We also encourage parents/guardians to involve their children/wards in house chores. Also endeavor to monitor their movements and friends. Scrutinize the people and organizations to which you entrust the affairs of your children during the holiday for security reasons.

 RESUMPTION

Boarders are to resume on Sunday 17th September, 2023 while Day students will resume on Monday 18th September, 2023.

 

CONCLUSION

At this juncture, I wish to appreciate all of you again for the wonderful support you have given me from the beginning of the session. As usual, I want to state again that our job in helping the College grow in diverse ways seems to be insurmountable, but with Almighty God on our side, we are sure we will overcome. It is our prayer that your children/wards grow in strength, knowledge and wisdom and become great assets to you and our nation.
