We also appreciate the donors of these awards and prizes. We also thank all our esteemed and valued parents/guardians for your support and usual commitment. Our deepest gratitude to the Oba of Lagos, His Royal Highness Oba Akiolu for His fatherly role and the peaceful co-existence between the college and the community. I also express my gratitude to the immediate past School Based Management Committee (SBMC) of the 7th session under the able leadership of Engr. Jani Ibrahim, the parent/teacher Association PTA led by Engr. Peter Olaoluwa Oluwaleye and his team. We also thank the KCOBA for their wonderful contributions to the college Academic Activities We refresh your minds again that our goal and mandate is to enhance learning experience and help our students to achieve their full academic potentials and skills. Lessons were well supervised and monitored. Extra lessons were also taught. Registration for WASSCE examination is on-going. Co-Curricular Activities Our students actively participated in clubs and societies and sporting activities. As usual they went out for several competitions like Debates, Quiz, Essay competitions, etc. They performed excellently and won laurels, plaques, gifts, cash awards etc We urge you to encourage your wards to join clubs and societies in the school. These clubs and societies help them discover and develop their potentials. Tone of Discipline The college management does not treat cases of indiscipline with kid gloves. Disciplinary issues such as bound breaking, extortion, stealing, immoral behaviors and the likes were treated accordingly based on the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education’s uniform guidelines on offences and punishment. The Minister of Education issued a circular directing principals to give INDEFINITE SUSPENSION TO ANY STUDENT WHO ASSAULTS AND INFLICTS INJURIES ON OTHER STUDENTS. We therefore appeal to parents to counsel their children/wards to be of good behavior. We also advice parents/guardians to encourage their children/wards to always report cases of ill-treatment by staff/students to the school authority Day Students Parents/guardians are advised again to get acquainted with the guidelines on Day Studentship. We remind you to get copy of the guidelines from the PTA office. Day students must always report to school with the approved College Uniforms. Ensure that your child/ward is in school on time (8:00am latest). They must also present their payment receipt on Monday of resumption without which they will not be allowed into the school compound. Attendance at the assembly is compulsory. Lateness to school will not be condoned. The Use of Smart/Android Phone by day student is PROHIBITED. Special Students The college Management has observed with dismay the behavior of some Special Students at the Annex Campus. Some of them were involved in bullying and extortion from junior students. Parents/sponsors of such students SHOULD WARN them STERNLY as the rules do not exempt any category of students. Health Matters 1. Parents are advised to disclose any underlying ailment to the College Management for proper monitoring. 2. You are also advised to take your child/ward to the hospital for routine/regular health checks. 3. “Cleanliness is next to godliness” Students should be counselled to maintain good personal hygiene while the management will ensure clean and safe environment and provide quality food and drinking water. 4. No sick student will be checked in on resumption day 5. Medical reports from Government approved Health care providers and drugs should be brought to the school clinic for safe keeping and proper dispensing. 6. Advice your child/ward on the need to report early to the clinic for prompt attention when they are ill and to ensure that they follow up and complete treatments and medications. School Portal It has been observed that parents are not taking full advantage of our school portal. Please note that the portal is a modern way of communication, therefore information on the College activities are regularly made available on the portal. Results checker, assignments, newsletters, bill checker, progress of boys in the College and updates on College activities are available on the portal. Also, check your child/ward’s biodata on the portal to ensure that the information therein are correct. This is to avoid unnecessary charges by WAEC during registration. Also monitor and find out who your child/ward is keeping as friends. Endeavor to encourage your child/ward to participate in the house chores. The Minister of Education issued a circular directing principals to give INDEFINITE SUSPENSION TO ANY STUDENT WHO ASSAULTS AND INFLICTS INJURIES ON OTHER STUDENTS. We therefore appeal to parents to counsel their children/wards to be of good behavior. We also advice parents/guardians to encourage their children/wards to always report cases of ill-treatment by staff/students to the school authority Day Students Parents/guardians are advised again to get acquainted with the guidelines on Day Studentship. Jani Ibrahim, the parent/teacher Association PTA led by Engr. Peter Olaoluwa Oluwaleye and his team. Disciplinary issues such as bound breaking, extortion, stealing, immoral behaviors and the likes were treated accordingly based on the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education’s uniform guidelines on offences and punishment. The Minister of Education issued a circular directing principals to give INDEFINITE SUSPENSION TO ANY STUDENT WHO ASSAULTS AND INFLICTS INJURIES ON OTHER STUDENTS. We therefore appeal to parents to counsel their children/wards to be of good behavior. We also advice parents/guardians to encourage their children/wards to always report cases of ill-treatment by staff/students to the school authority Day Students Parents/guardians are advised again to get acquainted with the guidelines on Day Studentship. We remind you to get copy of the guidelines from the PTA office. Day students must always report to school with the approved College Uniforms. Ensure that your child/ward is in school on time (8:00am latest). They must also present their payment receipt on Monday of resumption without which they will not be allowed into the school compound. Attendance at the assembly is compulsory. Lateness to school will not be condoned. The Use of Smart/Android Phone by day student is PROHIBITED.
